Machine Repair Tech

We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Machine Repair Tech responsible for typical machine rigging and maintenance to install, erect, repair and recondition standard and special precision machine tools, presses, and tool room equipment; plan structural disassembly and assembly; prepare equipment sites, perform machining, welding and heavy machine repair; operate tool room equipment to produce simple replacement parts. Candidates must have completed a four year apprenticeship or have a minimum of eight years related work experience in Machine Repair with a broad knowledge of mechanics and manual skills to do precise fitting of bearings, ways, etc.  

Wage Range:  $26.52 - $32.56  plus 7.5% shift premium if 2nd shift.

Autodie is a company with more than 50 years of experience in fulfilling customer needs and offering local expertise for project management, engineering, machining, die construction & tryout, engineering change incorporation, buy-off and launch support.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Plant Helper. Plant Helpers perform a variety of tasks throughout the plant. They are responsible for operating the equipment necessary for efficient operation with regard to material handling, housekeeping, maintenance, etc. May be working with cranes, fork lifts, cherry pickers, scissors lifts, hydraulic jacks, drill presses, mills, grinders, breaks, shears, plasma cutters, saws, power washer, and a variety of hand and power hand tools.

We hire from within and the Plant Helper position often leads to apprenticeships and other training positions leading to eventual journeyman status.

Previous industrial experience helpful. MUST BE WILLING TO WORK UP TO 55 HOURS DURING BUSY TIMES.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY TEAM MEMBER

Description

The ideal candidate would be competent to assist with the implementation of standardized plant health and safety programs to ensure compliance with corporate health and safety policies and state and federal regulations. The successful candidate will impact corporate savings through elimination of occupational injuries/illnesses, environmental compliance non-conformances, and property damage, and the improvement of production efficiency as well as safeguarding the health and safety of all employees. Candidate should also be prepared to assist in implementing OHS processes through continuous improvement methodology and advising plant leadership of their scope, purpose and impact on plant operations.

Responsibilities

  • Participate with continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of OHS training programs and training assessments to ensure required training is identified and conducted.
  • Help conduct regular audits of OHS processes and necessary follow up to ensure compliance and advise plant leadership and corporate OHS staff of findings.
  • Learn to analyze injury/illness experience, identify/track injury correlation, determine root causes (accident investigation), establish corrective action measures, and communicate this information to plant leadership and corporate OHS.
  • Help ensure proper PPE, safety devices, ergonomic and environmental equipment is available and used in appropriate manner including daily floor audits and safety walks.
  • Lead OHS projects to improve key performance metrics.
  • Assist with ISO and OSHA certifications, regulations and requirements.
